The Precision 28 is a Jim Taylor design that offers affordable cruising in a vessel with lots of standard gear and amenities in a very affordable package. It was the flagship of the Precision Boat Works line up of trailerable boats. Standard is a diesel inboard, wheel steering in a T-shaped cockpit with a huge sail locker, helmsman’s seat and a scoop transom design for easy entry into the water for a swim or to your dinghy. Below the cabin is open and airy with 10 opening ports. The efficient galley to port is U-shaped & includes a top-loading ice box. Forward there is double berth. In the main salon are two more berths and then in the aft cabin there is a large cabin to port with even two more berths. There is standing headroom in the aft cabin with a solid teak door for privacy. A table is midship in the main salon. On the starboard side, across from the galley is a large head and shower with a solid teak door for privacy. The nav station has a fold down table when not needed. The bolt-on lead keel is an efficient end-plate bulb offering excellent performance with a reasonably shallow draft.
