THE BAVARIA 50 HAS BEEN REPLACED BY THE BAVARIA 51 AS OF 1/31/09
The Bavaria manufacturing facility - one of the most efficient and nearly the largest in the world - really can be compared to a ship builder rather than a boat builder. And the Bavaria 50 is the biggest vessel in their cruising line. When you get a boat this big it comes equipped with gear that make sailing her a breeze (in a breeze). First of all, she comes with two pedestal helms. Electric genoa winches are optional and you can tie your main halyard into them to raise the mainsail. The headsail is handled with a Furlex furling system. The anchor is operated with an electric windlass (standard). You can grab your beer or shrimp from a refrigerator with top or front loading access.
How many people in your family or on the crew? She comes in a 4 or 5 cabin layout to choose from. The 4 cabin layout includes sleeping for eight in private cabins (one with bunk beds) and 3 heads and the 5 cabin layout will sleep 10 (2 cabins have twin bunk beds) with 3 heads.
