Charles Ludwig designed the Sanibel 18 (named after the SW Florida island) to be rugged and stable and this boat handles comfortably even when the wind gusts increase. In addition Tad Pole is the Premium Blue Water Package with extra fiberglass and beef so withstand the rigors of offshore sailing. Her 3-stay setup makes easy to step the mast and rig the boat. Launching is a breeze too. She’s a gunkholer’s delight with a draft of only 12”. She’s a very good sailing boat with a fine entry and broad, powerful quarters. There is a double forepeak berth, two settees with an unobstructed footwell between and a wide starboard quarterberth adequate for most people. The forward hatch and opening cabin ports offer plenty of cross-ventilation. This is an impressive boat with a very good build quality not found in most production vessels.
