There have been 2 owners of this boat and the 1st  owners purchased her in Boston new and in ’97 moved it to Minnesota where they sailed it until it was put on the market  The current owners bought the boat in 2008 with the intention of making her a boat to sail in Florida and other places where the sun kisses the sea, but age (80+) and poor health with crippling arthritis is forcing them to sell with reluctance. He and his wife lately have used it mostly as a cabin on Lake Superior sailing it only a few times, of late, but while the boat is launched annually, they haven’t been able to sail it for the last two years, but only motor it.  He states that the interior layout and woodwork give the boat a nice “homey” feel. Previous to that they sailed it more and have a great deal of sailing adventures in many other boats to boast about. They say the boat is an excellent sailing vessel, sea-kindly, comfortable and safe and is quite fast for a cruising 28-foot vessel and has a balanced helm. The engine runs well and handles with a fingertip touch on the helm. The boat sleeps 5 in berths up to 6’2” with headroom up to 6’.  Designed by Alan Payne, she has a forepeak cabin with double berths, shelves and opening overhead  hatch with drawers.  As in most traditional interiors, just aft of the forward cabin is the head to port with hanging locker and sink. In the main salon there is a port double settee and starboard single settee with another locker to starboard. There is storage beneath.  The L-shaped Galley lies aft of the starboard settee.  The cockpit is large and self-bailing with a sail locker. The rig is masthead.  She has a modified fin keel made of lead and an inboard spade rudder for great control.
