Often referred to as an underrated boat, the Impulse 26 had her origins in New Orleans and later were built in White Bear Lake, MN. The earlier boats were a bit lighter, but had a strong, solid build quality and an efficient deck layout for racing. Considered killer light air boats, they are hard to beat. When the wind pipes up to the high teens they will plane and the crew should put their weight aft. It’s amazingly fast upwind especially in lighter air. The boat is easy to sail short-handed. At this price it is a bargain PFRF racer. This is a one-owner boat and it has recently been donated to a Sailing School who needs the money and not the boat.
