Considered to be one of the original micro-cruisers, the Com-Pac 16 is one of the heaviest and half of that weight is in the ballast, which makes her a more robust and stiff boat, considered to be solid on the water. Constructed of hand laid fiberglass and a deck core of micro balloons, she’ll be free of delamination problems. The 3-stayed mast is easy to set up and you don’t have to tune it like a harp. Below there are two 8-foot quarter berths with plenty of space to spare for other goods and the peak is open for storage as well.  This also helps keep the boat from squatting like most other boats with storage areas under the cockpit. Sitting in the cabin is comfortable and she has nice teak décor. Her sea keeping abilities are impressive and she can handle a breeze. The self-bailing cockpit is nearly 7 feet long.  She’s a popular vessel that is well appointed, ruggedly built and offers a reassuring sense of security on the water. She’s designed by Clark Mills.
