This is one of the, if not the nicest, of Alan Payne’s wide-body super cruisers.  This vessel has been very well cared for and the owners have added some very nice features. The 10.7 generally has an unbelievable amount of space and comfort down below, yet she sails extremely well. Her fine entry, tall rig, balanced ends, inboard chain plates and narrow sheeting angles (not to forget her efficient, modified fin cruising keel) all contribute to pointing high with great upwind speed. The helm is effortless at all angles of heel. The boat tracks straight and maneuvers well under power. Her beaminess and flat bottom contribute to her stability. The wide and deep hull sections make for lots of room below.  She sleeps 6 in long, comfortable berths. There’s a wrap-around galley with lots of drawers and locker space and all the galley equipment stays with the boat.  There is a center-mounted table in the main salon with large leafs and the port settee slides out to a queen-sized double. The head is completely private with double doors making access easy from either cabin without disturbing anyone in the other cabin. Forward there is a spacious double with a dressing counter with a swing out stool. A navigation table/station is situated between the quarter berth and starboard settee. Quality is seen throughout the boat from the bronze seacocks to the built-in bow roller. The current owner of this boat is an aging former Coast Guard man who loves his inboard diesel. The oil is changed in the spring and the fall and he maintains it meticulously. Fresh water only and the owners are motivated sellers. It is a very nice vessel. This is a sistership to the boat that Bonnie & Ron Dahl traveled Lake Superior in when they wrote their cruising guide called “Superior Way”.
