The Windrose 24 was designed by W. Shad Turner and built by Laguna Yachts in Stanton, California. Laguna made boats from 18 feet to 33 feet and up to 26‘ and about 1983  they were called Windrose. From 1980 on a few models, they started to use Laguna as the name until 1986. Later they bought out Balboa, which was an extension of the Coastal Recreation Aquarius, Ensenada and Balboa trailerable line.  So, with these generations they have a long run of experience – especially in trailerable sailboats.  The Windrose 24 is a swing keel boat that can be easily launched and retrieved on the average ramp.  It doesn’t take long to rig and they are easy to sail.  The boat sleeps 4. There is a double in the forepeak and the portside dinette converts to a double in the main cabin.  Across, there is a galley stretched along the starboard side. The area for the head lies between the forward and main cabins.  It is not required to remove any cushions to use it.  The self-bailing cockpit is long and has two seat lockers.  The profile of Windroses are nice with a contemporary look.  This is a very affordable boat for someone looking to find an inexpensive ride on a boat that they can pull behind their car. The current owner has had the boat for 30 years and he is the 2nd owner.  It has always been a fresh water boat.
